2 Cor. 5:17 says that anyone who is in Christ is a new creature, old things are passed away behold are thing have become new! 
How exciting to realize that when we are in Christ we get a fresh start. The bondage of sin no longer has power over us, and we have the power to live life abundantly as Jesus promised. 
Why not start this new year with a commitment to recognizing who we are in God and what He has called us to. You'll find a refreshing newness of life when you decide to live in Christ...

For the past few weeks we've been looking at how God wants to "dress" us. First we talked about the "garment of contentment." The world will lead us down a path of constant pursuit of what they say will make us "happy." People go through life never able to attain because there is no end. God has called to "put on" contentment, that is, to be content. Content with Him. 
When God has a new garment for us to put on, it usually requires us to take something off. Isaiah 61:3 we are instructed to put on the garment of PRAISE for the spirit of heaviness. We must take off the spirit of heaviness and replace it with the garment of praise. Praise is our strength. God is worthy of praise  no matter what our outward circumstance looks like. Praise God and it will alter the course of your day!

The word says that if any man be in Christ he is a new creature...
Everyday we need to strive to understand who we are in God. When our walk becomes about Him and not about us we will truly live life.
